Mountway Ltd. acquires Nordic Care Services Ltd. (NCS)
On 1st September 2007 NCS became a member of the Mountway Organisation. Mountway, based in South Wales, is a progressive, family-owned business with a well-established reputation for the manufacture and distribution of a range of high-quality products designed for independent living. NCS was founded in 1999 by Sonja Waara-Conway with the express aim of introducing innovative and market-leading Swedish assistive technology products to the U.K. and has become a prominent supplier of such products at all levels of the healthcare industry.
Sonja Waara-Conway will continue in her role as Managing Director of NCS and the educational philosophy of the company will remain unchanged. The marketing presence of Mountway allied with its greater resource base will ensure a higher profile for NCS and generate greater awareness of the availability of high-quality, state-of-the-art equipment from leading Scandinavian manufacturers.

• Romedics launched the Ross “ReTurn”
at the Moving and Handling Conference held at the Commonwealth
Conference and Events Centre, in London on 2nd and 3rd March
2004. The Ross “ReTurn” is designed for home
and institutional use to minimise injury risk to carers
where there is a need for both patient turning and transfer
functions.
