Just a quick note to tell you that my father's walker arrived on Tuesday afternoon.
Unfortunately Wednesday here gave us torrential rain and high winds resulting in the fact that he could not get out to try his "buggy" as he calls it or "Hector" as it has been christened.
Thursday dawned with clear blue skies and a nice fresh breeze. Since then the general consensus of opinion in the family is we may have to have the old boy fitted with some sort of tracking device.

My dad lives at the top of a very large and steep hill. Thursday afternoon resulted in him walking down to the bottom of the hill and back up to see how "Hector" performed, if I may add he has not walked down that hill for the last 2 years.
There is no doubt whatsoever the purchase of this walker has given him a great deal of independence and freedom.

He has even phoned the physiotherapist from the local hospital to ask her to come up and collect his old walker and in his words "see what a real walker should do".
Today (Sunday) I took my dad out to place in the country where he used to go to walk my 2 dogs. I cannot explain the look on his face when once again he could walk with the boys (even though they are getting old).
